How to choose industrial automation equipment for connecting the manufacturing process of automatic assembly machines

Selection of coordination in the manufacturing process of connecting automatic assembly machines

The selection of the tolerance grade for the reference system of the automatic assembly machine determines the tolerance zones of the reference holes or reference axes, as well as the size of the tolerance zones of non-reference components. Therefore, the selection of the fit is essentially determining the position of the tolerance zone of the non-reference component, that is, selecting the basic deviation tolerance for the non-reference component.

For interference fits, the minimum and maximum allowable interference should be calculated based on the magnitude of the transmitted load according to the theory of plasticity, so as to select the appropriate type of fit. GB/T 5371-2004 provides detailed regulations on the calculation and selection of limits and fits for interference fits. For transition fits, there is currently no suitable calculation method.

The basic deviations of various codes represent different fits under certain conditions, so the choice of fit is essentially a matter of selecting the basic deviation. There are three methods for selecting fits in automated assembly machines: calculation, experimentation, and analogy.

The calculation method determines the required clearance or interference based on certain theories and formulas, thus facilitating the design of limits and fits. It is primarily used for clearance and interference fits in automated assembly machines. For example, for clearance fits of sliding bearings, the minimum allowable clearance is calculated based on liquid lubrication theory, and then the standard type of fit is selected.

The experimental method involves determining the clearance or interference through experimentation or statistical analysis. This approach is reasonable and reliable, but the cost is relatively high, so it is only used for key fits of major products in automated assembly machines.

After conducting research, analysis, and comparison on similar machines and components, selecting limits and fits based on previous experience is currently the most widely used and primary method. In practical work, the most widely applied method in automated assembly machines is the analogy method, which involves referring to existing similar machines or structures with proven fits, comparing them with the usage conditions of the designed parts, making corrections, and determining the fit.
